Elsie Mokoena Law is an emerging black female owned law firm that provides a range of legal services to suit each client’s needs. Elsie Mokoena Law was founded by the firm’s Senior Attorney and Director, Elsie Mokoena with the aim of providing clients with a professional, excellent and efficient legal service premised on pillars of integrity, pragmatism and cost-effectiveness. The firm does not have a departmental approach by virtue of the nature of matters and clients it regularly encounters and engages with.

The firm is primarily managed by Elsie Mokoena who obtained her B. Proc LLB degrees from the University of South Africa (UNISA). After completing her articles of clerkship, Mokoena was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in August 2004. Mokoena is a member of the Legal Practice Council (LPC) with Right of Appearance in the High Court and has made several appearances in the High Court to date. Mokoena is an accomplished Legal Adviser and Litigation Attorney having worked and gained extensive exposure in both the public and private sectors before commencing practice for her own account. Over the years Mokoena has gain extensive experience in a wide spectrum of legal matters, including, administrative and constitutional law, property law (agreements, residential and commercial evictions and housing disputes), commercial law (agreements and litigation), family law (divorce, maintenance, children, abuse and deceased estates), municipal law, refugee law and magistrate’s and high court litigation. Mokoena has consistently over a period of several years assisted at ProBono.Org and has received certificates of recognition for her outstanding contribution to ProBono. Mokoena has over the years shared her legal expertise on television shows such as Speak-Out SABC2 and The Devi Show eNCA. Mokoena is passionate about law and justice and is committed to use her best endeavours to represent clients in a manner that is professional, permissible and progressive whilst preserving relationships going forward.
